A new tradition for Chicago tech community: Chicago Founder Stories @ 1871

by: Patrick Ryan, Jr., Founder & CEO, INCISENT Technologies, CEC Board Member

The Chicago tech community is thriving—and for the city’s digital startups, there’s no shortage of local inspiration. Success stories abound—and one of the most popular tickets around always seems to be the chance to hear the story straight from the mouths of the Founders.

That’s why, together with the CEC and 1871 — the shared workspace and Chicago’s new hub for digital entrepreneurship—we’re giving our tech community a new tradition where we can come together to hear the stories of some of the city’s most exciting tech successes.

INCISENT is sponsoring Chicago Founder Stories at 1871—a monthly, ongoing series inspired by Chris Dixon’s ever-popular Founder Stories on TechCrunch. We’re switching it up a bit, doing our interviews in front of a live audience with Twitter based Q&A, and then posting those discussions online at 1871′s website for those who couldn’t make it to the live event.   Plus—the beer and pizza is on us.

We’re kicking it off in a big way— closing out 1871′s Grand Opening Week — the evening of Tuesday, May 8th with GrubHub founders Matt Maloney and Mike Evans.

Come join us on May 8th: Check out 1871, connect with Chicago’s exciting entrepreneurial tech community and hear one of the most exciting start up stories in the country from two great Chicago entrepreneurs.
